Uber & E-Hailing

We recommend that you don’t attempt to park your car near the stadium or use Helen Suzman Drive to get there. There will be limited parking available around the stadium and traffic congestion is likely to cause serious delays. There will also be major road restrictions in the area.

There is ample parking available around the Civic Centre MyCiTi Bus Station and the City of Cape Town is offering a free bus shuttle service from the Civic Centre to the stadium. We encourage everyone to use this service.

There is also on-street parking around the Civic Centre Bus Station as well as parking at the following sites:

Thibault Square

Picbel Parkade

Plein Park

Pay-to-use parking is available at the V&A Waterfront. But this is expected to get congested and we encourage you to head to the V&A area early if you would like to park there.

Alternatively, the Fan Walk from Buitengracht Road will be in operation from the city to the stadium, to provide a safe, dedicated walking route to and from the event.

The Fan Walk is provided by the City of Cape Town and links the city centre with the stadium. The route starts from Waterkant Street in the city, crosses by footbridge over Buitengracht Street, through Prestwich Memorial Garden and onto Somerset Street.

The walk is on a fenced pavement and there is ample city parking, so you can park and walk. The Fan Walk will be operational after the match.

Disabled Parking and Facilities

Disabled parking bays have been made available for disabled ticket holders. Please email ticketing@match-in-africa.com to book these.

A special needs shuttle will be available from the CTICC. Seats can be booked and pre-purchased and the service will ensure that you get as close to the stadium as possible.
To find out more, visit www.parkinthecity.co.za

The free MyCiti Bus Service from the Civic Centre to the stadium is fully disabled friendly and has priority seating for those with special needs. There is a drop off zone adjacent to the Civic Centre Bus Station with parking along DF Malan Drive.

E-Hailing, Taxis and Uber

Due to the expected traffic congestion on event day, we recommend that you don’t get dropped off at the stadium via e-hailing, taxi or Uber. The extended amount of time it will take to be dropped off is likely to result in increased fares. And no stopping will be allowed around the stadium except in designated areas.

There will be an e-hailing drop off zone along DF Malan Drive at the Civic Centre to save time and cut down on fare costs. The area is close to the Civic Centre Bus Station, where you can get to the stadium quickly and easily on a free MyCiTi shuttle.

We also don’t recommend arranging collection at the stadium after the match. We do recommend that you either use the Fan Walk or MyCiTi free bus shuttle into the city and that you arrange collection at the Civic Centre at DF Malan Drive.

Alternatively, you could get dropped off at a Park & Ride Bus collection point closer to you and use the bus shuttle service to get to the stadium.
